2015 Round-up and 2016 Goals

So, it is now officially 2016.

It's a new year, a blank slate. 2015 is a thing of the past.

2015 was a pretty good year for me. Among other things, I ...
So that's all good.

Now, because this is a blog, I have to say what my most popular post of the year was. Well, it was "An Interview with Author Helen Laycock", by a pretty long shot (and if you haven't read that post yet, seriously, go check it out, because Helen is fantastic).

What's new in 2016? Well, there's already a couple of things that I'm pretty excited about.

First, I've done a complete redesign of the Books tab on this website. Instead of the information overload that there was before, I've arranged all of my book covers into a pretty grid, and you can click on each cover to get more info about the book. Pretty cool, yes?

Secondly, I'm going to be participating in a blog tour hosted by Ama et Bemma (http://amabemma.blogspot.co.uk/). It's called New Year, New Books, and it starts on the 11th of January. The corresponding Twitter hashtag is #NYNB2016. I'll be posting about some of the children's books in the tour, so stand by to encounter some great new kidlit this year!

And finally, what are my hopes and plans for 2016, in the long term? Well ...
  • I want to finish and publish Super Sporty 9
  • I want to finish The Dreamon
  • I want to read loads of great books
  • I want to meet new readers and share my stories with them
  • I want to have an absolute blast!
But that's enough about me. What happened to you in 2015? What are your plans for 2016? (doesn't even have to be about writing!) Share in the comments!

  1. Well done on a very successful 2015, Ellie, and it seems as though 2016 is going to be just as productive, too!

I can't believe little ol' me got the top spot on your blog. Woohoo!

Thanks again, and keep doing what you're doing!

  2. Thanks, Helen! You totally deserved that top spot. I hope you have an awesome 2016!
