My (Almost) Screen-Free Month -- Simmering Down

It's been two-and-a-half weeks of screen-free month so far.

To be honest, I'm not really missing screens all that much. Books, writing, and even chores are good enough for me. And, in fact, I really hate my computer screen now, because, since I turned it on to get on top of things and write this blog post, I have developed a throbbing headache from the unaccustomed screen time.

So, what have I accomplished this last week? Well, I've outlined the rest of the Super Sporty 8 plot, for starters. I also did some writing exercises in my 'miscellaneous' notebook. And I've read 'A Thousand Acres' by Jane Smiley (great book, but don't read it if you're under 14!).

As you can tell, things haven't been as wild as the last couple of weeks were. I haven't been scribbling franticly in my notebooks every available second (though I did get a terrific case of writer's cramp yesterday). I haven't devoured as many books as I could lay my hands on. Yes, I think things are finally starting to simmer down.

AND IN OTHER NEWS ...

My children's author interview is open! If you're a children's author (or perhaps you know a children's author, in which case pass it on!), Follow the Link to submit your interview. I will post interviews on my blog, and also tweet about them on Twitter! Hurry -- I can only post a maximum of one interview a week, and it's first come first served, so do yours now to reserve your place!
